Difficulty of trail?

The hiking trail is easy to navigate as you follow the path others have taken which is made apparent by the worn areas, yet occasionally you may spot where adventurous hikers have ventured off the normal path, creating a supposedly shorter route.

The colors are so unique as the different sandstone rocks seamlessly blend together to create this beautiful landscape. This hike is listed as easy to moderate. I would say it is easy unless it is hot then it might seem more moderate. There is no shade along this path so don’t forget the sunscreen and bring plenty of water to drink for yourself and your pet.

What should I wear for this hike?

In the above picture I am wearing a t-shirt from Up & Out Clothing Co. I love the softness of this shirt and it washes well. What I love about this company is their mission to encourage everyone to “Get Up. Get Out. Get Active.” and keep exploring this beautiful world. They also will plant a tree for every three items sold which I absolutely love. Check out their website HERE No longer an active company

The Iconic Toadstool

The iconic balancing toadstool is pictured above and below. Enjoy the beauty of this trail while standing in awe at the towering rocks. Once here take some time to climb around and explore the area.

The “rings” on the rocks are similar to rings on a tree as they serve as a natural record of the passing of time and the geological history of the area. Each ring represents a layer of sedimentation or weathering, reflecting the years of formation and environmental changes that have shaped these remarkable sandstone formations over the years.
